Father of two and grandfather of two, Charlie retired after 27 years with IBM as a program analyst. Charlie ran a business information company for several years and for the past nine years has been an instructor of business and customer relations at North Georgia Technical College.
Celeste graduated from college with a degree in classical music and spent the next nine years as a country music disc jockey. Most recently, Celeste has been program director, interviewer, and voice talent for a web/radio station in Atlanta, Georgia. She raised three great kids and is now, with her husband Bob, the owner of SelwynMedia, Inc., creating audio and video projects for small businesses and non-profits. Celeste is also responsible for producing all of the audio for Storybook Anytime.
A retired broadcast executive, newsman, photographer, sailor, coal miner, and Appalachian social worker, Bob has four children and six grandchildren and now owns SelwynMedia, Inc., creating audio and video projects for small businesses and non profits.
Teresa has worked in preschool for over 25 years, 13 of which have been at Open Arms Christian Child Development Center in Kennesaw, Georgia, where she is currently the Director of Operations. Teresa and her husband Dickie have been married for 33 years and have two daughters and three grandchildren.
Beth is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a graduate of Edgecliff College, a division of Xavier University. She taught first grade prior to relocating to Atlanta, where her enthusiasm for preschool education emerged. She is currently the Program Director at Open Arms Christian Child Development Center in Kennesaw, Georgia. Beth and her husband Dick have been married for 36 years and have two daughters.
Currently the Manager of Animation Operations at Turner Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Vella has been working within the children's television arena for the last eight years and loves kids... especially her two nephews, Boston and Rome.
Valerie, currently teaching fourth grade, is in her eighth year of teaching. She is a dedicated teacher who believes all children can learn when equipped with the right tools. Valerie has two daughters and four grandsons.
Born in Puebla, Mexico, José Raúl is the husband of Martita Milagros Macias and the father of two. He earned his law degree at Benemérita University Autónoma de Puebla. He received numerous awards and honors while attending school and in social and Catholic associations after graduation. José Raúl has served as Law IOSCER in Veracruz, Chiapas, and Tabasco, Mexico, and owned his own law practice there as well. He also taught at the University of Puebla and at various Catholic schools.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Martita is the wife of José Raúl Macias and the mother of two children. Martita has a B.A. in Spanish Language and Culture, an M.A. in English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Specialist Degree in Supervision and Administration. She was selected Teacher of the Year in 2002 by the DeKalb County Board of Education in Atlanta and ESOL Teacher of the Year in New York and has received numerous other honors and recognitions as well.
Michael Rice, a native of Kentucky, received his bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Berea College, in Berea, Kentucky, and the University of Kentucky, in Lexington. Michael has taught English at various colleges in Georgia for over twenty years. Empty nesters, he and his wife now reside in Blue Ridge, Georgia and he teaches at North Georgia Technical College.
